Alicia’s Boudoir Shoot…in her own words
Embarking on a boudoir photography session was a significant step for me, especially since I've always had trouble recognizing my own beauty. I was pretty nervous as I entered this unknown territory, but little did I realize how much this experience would impact me. When I initially booked the session, I had no idea about the emotional journey I was about to embark on.
Upon reaching the studio, a mix of nerves and excitement flowed through me. The welcoming smiles and genuine care from the photographer and the hair/makeup artist (DEFINITLY took advantage of their in-house hair and makeup services!) quickly put me at ease, creating a trustworthy and comfortable atmosphere. Their professionalism boosted my confidence and allowed me to fully engage in the process.
After my hair and makeup were done, I couldn't believe the person staring back at me in the mirror. It was a transformation, a more beautiful version of myself that I didn't know existed. It 100% boosted my confidence.
As their photographer directed and took my pictures, she showed me several along the way. Initially nervous, as we progressed, I saw more and more amazing images. It became evident that this was more than just a photo shoot; it was an intimate exploration of my inner self. It revealed layers of vulnerability and strength, exposing a side of me I had ignored for a long time.
After the shoot, it was time to see the final images. My heart raced with anxiety and anticipation as we went through them on the TV. I couldn't help but be overwhelmed. You see, I had never seen myself as beautiful before. NEVER. Yet, the woman in those photos was undeniably beautiful, and SHE was ME. That realization shattered the walls of self-doubt that had surrounded me for years.
The album I purchased was even more beautiful and special. I couldn't help but tear up again as I looked at the woman in the album. Her radiance and confidence resonated deeply within me, erasing the remnants of self-doubt that had haunted me for years. It was an emotionally profound experience, a moment of pure self-acceptance and self-love.
My boudoir experience went beyond a typical photoshoot, leading me on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
